The Villages of Lonsdale was selected to receive a Workforce Solutions Grant from the LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation. This round of grants was extremely competitive with 36 proposals received. The Villages of Lonsdale received grant funds totaling $16,220. The goal of the Workforce Solutions Grants is to improve the experience of care for older adults in rural Minnesota by funding emerging and proven workforce strategies that increase the quality, quantity and capacity of our caregiving workforce.
The Villages will introduce applied technology to the clinical workflow including electronic health record software; mobile technology devices; an electronic nurse call and communication system that is linked to the clinical mobile technology; and updated surveillance technology. The technology will be implemented in stages over the next 2 years.
Introducing applied technology to the clinical workflow will provide opportunities for self-development, will enhance the technology talents of our staff, and will allow them the rewarding experience of being up-to-date in technology clinical practices. We are committed to providing our staff with the right tools at the right time to help them be successful in achieving the high expectations set before them as they provide service to our tenants at The Villages of Lonsdale.
